I feel like this is a line that just goes casually by but then you realize it’s actually pretty profound.

okay so i’ve been wanting to talk about this for a while bc this line is more than just a profound quote, but also foreshadowing the rest of the movie in multiple ways.
firstly Elsa. As a child, her heart is pure and good. this does not change as she grows older. but her head is persuaded to think of herself as an evil monster, and this is what causes her depression and anxiety. she doubts she can be anything but this, because although her heart is full of love and is not so easily changed, her head has been convinced to think she is a danger.
now, Anna. in her heart she has always loved her sister, but her head has been persuaded to think that Elsa doesn’t care for her and this impacts their relationship. but deep down, despite the memory loss and Elsa’s absence through childhood, Anna knows all along, in her heart, that her sister loves her too.
finally, and this is probably the most interesting: Hans. The heart is not so easily changed, but the head can be persuaded. Hans has a malicious, selfish heart, but Anna’s head is easily persuaded. She is tricked into thinking he is her true love — and her head still thinks this even after it is obvious her heart belongs to Kristoff. Her heart’s choice is definite, but it is not until her conversation with Olaf that her head catches up with this realisation.
the troll’s quote basically sums up one of the main messages of this film: do not be naive, people are not always what they seem. But true colours will eventually reveal themselves.

"Boy, these conservatives are really something, aren’t they? They’re all in favor of the unborn. They will do anything for the unborn. But once you’re born, you’re on your own. Pro-life conservatives are obsessed with the fetus from conception to nine months. After that, they don’t want to know about you. They don’t want to hear from you. No nothing. No neonatal care, no day care, no head start, no school lunch, no food stamps, no welfare, no nothing. If you’re preborn, you’re fine; if you’re preschool, you’re fucked." ~ George Carlin
